hey guys.....anybody get this??

Every once in a while, especially when i think of it, i have random words or thoughts that pop into my head. I know a symptom of ocd is random, intrusive thoughts, but these arent violent at all, just random weird words when im doing something. For example:

Driving down the road, I look at a billboard..."enter a totally random word here"

and its a word that doesnt have to do with anything going on at the moment!!

I know its not a voice since I know it is coming from my head (like I don't look around to see who said it)

they kind of worry me sometimes, its like a wierd thought that i normally wouldnt think of, almost like an involuntary thought...

thoughts? ideas?

thanks!

its probably from OCD which is an anxiety disorder and can be helped by reducing your anxiety levels

I get that. I wouldn't be so quick to diagnose OCD, though. In fact, that kind of makes me laugh. It's just your mind sorting through things. If you were to sit down and really contemplate these random words, I bet they're not all that random.

Random, out of the blue ideas are part of what makes life fun. I guess since you have anxiety this worries you, but I wouldn't let it.

if the random thoughts are unpleasant thay can be countered  by having a pleasant daydream ready to run against them

pleasant daydreams are helpful for depression and anxiety

yoyoma,

Do you have migraines, I have heard people with migraines talk about their thoughts being random and not making sense? This happened to my daughter one time.

If this continues and you become concerned that it is something that needs futher medical screening by a physcian, please see you MD.

I wish you peace and happiness.

Respectfully
Kitt
