Hi Machelle,

I've been there lots of times, especially before meds, and during times of big change or extreme stress. You are certainly not alone, and those of us who have anxiety have times where it seems to never end. Don't give up! It really can get better

Absolutely...especially if you are just starting a med. Before I got on my Lexapro a few weeks ago, I went 3 months feeling like I was in one constant panic attack. I was very anxious all day long, and all night. It was so bad that I lost my job, because I simply couldn't leave my house. I only recently started getting back to life, and am still far from "normal." But since starting the Lexapro, I feel much more at ease.

Did you recently start your meds, or what?

I hope you start feeling better soon.

Machelle,

I have been there time and time again.  That was also before meds.  Hang in there!

Hi Machelle,

I go through periods of constant anxiety.  I've been on Zoloft for what feels like EVER and I still have periods (sometimes days, sometimes weeks) where I feel anxious.  It's usually because I'm worried about something and I obsess about it to the point where I'm unable to think about anything else... and I have this ever present looming sense of dread like something awful is going to happen. Sometimes I don't know why I start to feel better, but most times I get to the bottom of what I'm worrying about and then I go back to my normal happy self.  I know it really stinks but if we've got an anxiety disorder, then we've got it and we all need to learn our own tools to get through the tough times.  We ALL know how you feel so anytime you need a friend we're here :)

Yes it is normal to feel anxious all day but not necessary if you get on the right medication and therapy .  Both may be very helpful for you.

Gentle hugs

Sometimes even if you're on meds you'll experience it all day. It's rare for me, but today was one of those days. I had a very weird day with a constant low level anxiety that persisted from the time I woke up until about an hour ago. A lot of the anxiety seemed to be because things were going well...I was just in a sort of excited state for most of the day. But then some really strange things happened today, as well.

This A/P is a weird affliction, for sure.
