God, I hate talking about
this but I will anyway. I have a lot of crazy bowl movements at times, too. I'm not diabetic, but I am slightly overweight (ten or fifteen pounds) and my occasional problems don't sound wholly unlike yours.
I'd go so far as to say that I rarely have what I'd consider a normal BM, but then again I've had my gall bladder removed so I suppose that could be the source of some it. Mostly, though, these little spells last a few days or maybe a week and seem to be triggered by what I call "background anxiety". I'm not sure if that term will make sense to anyone, but it's sort of like anxiety that's there but not not at the forefront of my mind.
My diet has improved but it's not the best. I also take no fiber supplements even though the docs have told me to. I try to get dietary fiber instead.
Anyway, I've always considered my problems to be some kind of intermittent IBS or something, and anxiety related of course.
But if I were you I'd go to the doctor for sure. I don't because I've seen more gastros than I can count over the past few years and there's nothing they haven't seen, but that's just me. The doctor may be able to help you out. I certainly wouldn't worry about
flushing the meds out of your system. Kitt will know more about
this, but I think they're absorb fairly quickly in the digestive tract, and then your liver has to monkey with them. GO TO THE DOCTOR. If this keeps up you'll likely experience a GAD relapse, anyway, from the way you sound. Sorry to be so direct.
