Hello all. I am new to this forum. In january I had a tramtic expirience with (no risk) HIV. I went crazy until I had my test done at 6 weeks, which i am being told is conclusive. I was fine for about 2 months after that. i then started having severe anxiety again.
Its at the point where it comes and goes, but when it comes i can't work, sleep or do anything without worrying about it. I know that i do not have HIV because I was not exposed to it to begin with.

I guess what I'm getting at is that I could use some advice on how to cope with the stress and axiety until I get back to school where I can go to counseling for it. Got any ideas?

Any advice is appreciated!

Hello this is Kitt.

I do have an idea for you.  There is a free site where you can work through CBT. I know your main concern is the anxiety but most people with A & P have a depression component too.

Take a look at this site as it is free.  It doesn't take the place of one on one therapy but it may help you get past this cycle your going thru.

Yep, in case my own little course of treatment fails, that site that Kitt listed was the CBT I would try. I've looked it over and it seemed pretty solid to me.
