do any of you get cracks in your tongue, i don't know if its from dry mouth sometimes are nutritional problems, or the meds some of my taste buds are kinda swollen too,

I would venture to guess its from Nutritional intake or lack there of ......

Do you have a white coating on tongue ??......this sometimes (Most) means a viral infection
BUT DONT take this as for sure see your doc about this and put self at ease

When the mouth becomes dry, the tongue's mucous also dries up causing the tongue to crack. Other possible causes are infection and swelling.

I agree with Lyn, if you need you should see your physician. :)

I always have a white coating on my tongue. Always have. It's not like bright white or anything...just whitish. Don't have a virus. Doctors have seen it and have never said anything. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

But cracks I do not know about. I sometimes have what appear to be cracks in my tongue but they just seem to disappear.

they seem to be getting better, i've been making myself drink alot so that seems to help.

It happened only once with me, it was when I didn't drink that much fluid for that day.  I think it was a sign of dehydration, or at least the fact that I needed more water.  I don't think it is anything serious.

I have to correct this

A white coating in spots along or on tongue can mean VIRAL infection.......

Usually strep or throat problems
