My anxiety has been really bad lately. I have symptoms daily and its driving me crazy! Like all, i need reassurace, does anyone have these symptoms?
*Headache that won't go away with advil(tension?)
*Feel really out of it like your outside urself
*Shortness of breath(when i know its because of my breathing but i wont let myself believe it!)
*All over feel kinda blah, can't really explain it just feel kinda weak and weird all over
*My eyes are feeling weird, and have a hard time adjusting to light(causing me to worry somthing is wrong with my eyes or im going to have a seizure or somthing eventhough i've NEVER had one and have NO IDEA what it would feel like to have one!)
*Chest pain and sometimes causes arm pain(makes me immedietly think heart attack eventhough i'm only 19!)
*Lightheaded/dizziness

Does this all sound like anxiety???? It's driving me crazy! I've been to the doctors and emergency room many of times about this and thats what they keep telling me but it seems like with each new bowt of anxiety i get new symptoms that i've never had before so it makes my anxiety way worse. Any help/input would be much appreciated! THANK YOU!

YES! YES! I get all of those not everyday but off and on and sometime it last for a week or 2 at a time and I feel like I am going nuts.
Then I have these odd pains and I just know it has to be something wrong with me, My mom says I just pay to much attintion to those random pains. I also get the hard and fast heart rate which always always freaks me out!  I also get shaky and weak that one worries me too. I just try to tell myself it has not done me in yet so I must be ok. But in the back of mind it is saying no no go to the doctor.
Sorry your going through this, it sucks, I know I have been having a bad spell lately so I know how you feel.
Good luck!

Yes! Sounds very much like anxiety to me. Feeling outside yourself -derealization- is the worst. I'm recovered now though.

Know that it is anxiety and don't let the symptoms scare you. That will only make it worse.

Hello and I am sorry your feeling this way. Yes all of these symptoms have been brought up by other members. Some experince a few symptoms and others are running through the whole gambit of syptoms.

You may need to have a visit with your physician and see what he/she suggests to help you.

You have a wonderful group of members in this forum to support you.

Bless you.

I needed to add my 2 cents here.  Every single thing you described is exactly what I am dealing with EVERY SINGLE DAY!    I have been on Lexapro since the end of June, so therefore, many of my symptoms are lessoned or even gone, but, before the Lexapro, I felt this all daily, and even now, I feel some of this.  Definately sounds to me like anxiety.

I do have to say though, don't think 19 is too young for a heart attack, because it is not.  I hope in all your visits to the doctors and ER that they checked out your heart.

Are you taking anything for anxiety now, or seeing someone for some therapy?

I know it totally stinks to feel so bad.  I hope you start to feel better soon.  In the meantime, feel free to come here for support.  There are a lot of great people here!!

Yes thank you. The sucky part is that i leave tommorow for 4 days. Im going to maryland to visit some family. i'm gonna try my hardest to tell myself its just anxiety and it cant hurt me and try to keep it out of my head! easier said than done i know. Therapy next week will hopefully help a great deal and make me feel somewhat back to myself again.

Kchika,

Sounds like you have some panic issues as well as anxiety.. See causing all this anxiety and thinking about all your bodily sensations can start mild to moderate panic attacks that you need to learn to control... It's not that you are going crazy.. It's that your neurons are sometimes working so fast in your brain causing to think that something terrible is going to happen..

Have you tried taking any medications yet?
Zoloft? SSRI..
Klonopin Benzo..? ** This is what I take and it works great!

wow. Yeah definitly do not block out the possibility of a medicinal crutch. Your symptoms seem severe. I am in the same boat with the severity of my symptoms but I decided I DO NOT have to suffer like this and I WILL NOT suffer like this. I took meds in the past they saved my life, and I hope they will give me some relief again. In the past my anxiety and panic ruined my life until finally I gave in and took some meds. Recently, I have gotten back on zoloft and they added me onto klonopin. You do not need to suffer and I wish you luck and hope you will not completely block out the possibility that meds can help. Keep in mind walmart has some $4 generics on some antidepressants like paxil and prozac (I never took those though) if you are concerned about costs. Good luck to you!
