I have been on paxil for years and years now and have weaned down to 10mg for the past 5 days and then I started on 10mg of celexa. For the past couple of days I have been feeling really dizzy and like a floating feeling in my head. I know its because I had to lower my paxil but why does it make me feel dizzy Its a feeling that I just want to go away. I can't really do anything when I feel like this either. Im on holidays from work which is good but anythign that can make me feel better? Or why I get these feelings?

Hello Teachergirl,

I am sorry your having the dizzy spells and I would give your physician a call, tell him/her about dizzy spells and ask if using over the counter Antivert (Meclizine) would be ok?

It is probably related to the change of the meds but best to check with your physician.

Keep posting so we know how you are. :)

Yes, definitely check it out with your doctor. I was going to suggest Dramamine II, but St. Kitt knows much more about this stuff than I do.
