Delayed symptoms?

Hi all...I have had a fairly anxiety filled past several months (looking for a job, bad relationship, etc etc etc). I have GAD, but usually have no problem keeping it under control. These past few months have been very hard. However, things are finally settling down and life is very good. However, the past week i've had terrible migraines, muscle aches, trouble sleeping, etc. Is it possible that my body is having delayed side effects to all the stress? I feel like in order for my body to relax finally, all the tension is getting itself out physically. Is this common? Better yet, is this normal? haha. Thanks :)

Stress always brings on symptoms like you described, I would probably just try to go out and have some fun, I've had stress do the same to me in the past , I also have GAD, and fun always helps. If it last try to evaluate exactly what is stressing you out and deal w/ it, for instance if work is stressing take a vac. day.

Hello Roxy,

You have described symptoms of stress and I believe if there is some way you can reduce the stress or practice some relaxation techniques it may help you.  Hopefully this flare up of the anxiety and stress is self limiting, if not you would be wise to see you physician to be sure it is not something physical causing your problems.
