Hi everyone!
I decided to take a page from Debaser's book, so to speak, and keep an online blog. It's strange how you'll start thinking of all sorts of stuff to write about and it's not all necessarily negative things either! I've found it quite therapeutic and most of it is benign sort of things I talk about. It's fun and can get your mind off of your troubles for a while and that's a positive thing for sure! So now I can personally recommend it. Whether you do a public blog like mine (You can set it to private) or just write down your thoughts in a diary, journal, or notebook, I really believe you'll find some benefit from it and it sure don't hurt to give it a try! If you don't enjoy it, then you can stop, but if you like it, you have another tool to help you deal with whatever you must!
Take care and best to all! yeah

I do not do the blog thing, but I have kept a journal most of my life. It is on notebook paper, and I hook it into a 3 prong folder. I use a new folder every year. It has always helped me. I love journal writing. I am a 26 year old woman who still keeps a diary...LOL
Dealing with panic and anxiety for 8 years off and on...right now more on than off.  Major health anxiety as well!

New found issues with agoraphobia...working on that too.

I am NOT weak, I am just down right now.  I am doing what it takes to get my life back!!!

Best Wishes to all...Tammy

Kudos to both of you.  I think your both wise and wonderful for using this form of putting your thoughts down in a journal and/or blog. I would love to hear from others that have a blog or journal and know if you feel it helps you.

You guys are the best :)

I keep a blog. (:
Basically a space for me to express myself, vent my anger, share my happiness or pen down my sadness and thoughts.
It's also where I keep my friends updated, for those who read my blog.
Blogging is part of my daily routine. :D

JanetLee,

I looked over your blog and I dig your drawings. The "Lady in the Rain" is especially great. Nice stuff. As long as you take precautions about hiding your identity, it really is cathartic to leave your thoughts out there for everyone to see. And in doing so you can help others out, too....letting them know they're not alone, sharing in your coping strategies, etc. Blogging is a good thing. Journaling is great, too. I keep a separate journal, actually, but it's more about art and photography and where I want to go with it. It helps with that, for sure.

And I just actually started a new blog that's photos and and only photos. There's no work on there that's not on my regular site as of yet, but if I can ever locate my DVD archives there will be.

Anyway, good work!

Hi.  I keep a journal and write it in everyday, even if I am shaking like a leaf from anxiety (and yes, I really do shake like a leaf sometimes-good thing I am not a surgeon....lol.) and I bring it with me when I see my doctor. That way he can see what days I am doing okay and when I am not.  He looks for trends.

I think it's a great idea to keep a journal or blog.

Wow! I'm glad to see that others have found journaling/blogging as beneficial as I have! I think it's wonderful!
Debaser, I'm glad you liked my drawings! :) I did some of the photography as well. I wish I had a good camera and some lessons, cuz I think I have an eye for it...I guess it's the artist in me! ;)
Everybody, do what you have to do to feel and get better. If it works for you and doesn't harm anyone, then I wish you the best, be it blogging, walking, reading, meds, CBT, etc., etc.,etc.! Go For It!

PS-Jaslyn, your ant photo was so adorable! tongue

Hey all!

I just checked out your blog, Janet. (:
It's really great! Just like everyone, I love your drawings! I can't draw! haha. For me, I prefer photography to drawing.
I must say that Debaser's blog is good. (: One of my favourite blogs just that I can't find the time to visit there everyday. ><  I'm still admiring the photography skills of debaser! :P

Janet, thanks about the little ant. ;)  It was my first day using the new camera. Before that, I didn't have a camera. heh. So, I was testing the different functions.

love,
Jaslyn
