I have another doctor appointment next week to discuss my anxiety problem with my PCP but in the meantime need some help.
Every morning I wake up and my heart starts pounding and stays like that all day.  I try not to focus on it but can't help it but do.  I am taking Xanax 3 times a day and still doesn't seem to help.  I can't take antidepressants as they cause severe side effects.
I am off work today and don't have any pressing errands or anything that would be causing anxiety but my heart is still pounding.  If I put my hand on my chest you cannot feel it but it feels like my whole upper bounding is shaking.
How do I deal with this?  Is there anything anyone has found that works for this particular physical symptom of our anxiety?  I want it to STOP.

Dear Diane,

Have you been to the physicians office with this symptom? If not I would have it checked out by your Doctor to make sure it is anxiety.

Otherwise there are many posts here about this issue. You might also search for posts on the topic in the above search site feature.

I hope you will find some positive ideas  in the posting of our members.

I pulled up a few for you :)

Take care.
