Today I was meant to see my new pdoc for a 2nd opinion. I got a call just before we left home to say he was sick and they wouldn't be able to re-book me for at least 8 weeks.
We took the dogs for a walk as I was upset and then came back and re-rung the pdocs office. When I requested to make the appointment in 8 weeks I was then told actually the pdoc is too busy for new clients and they were basically cancelling all new clients. I said that nothing was said 3 weeks ago when I made the booking, I double checked that he'd take me and there was no problem. So now I can't get into this pdoc in fact all the pdocs are booked out. In hospital you can't change pdocs but I'm an outpatient and I want a second opinion. I'm so mad as I can't get it privately and publicly if you have a private pdoc they won't touch you either.
I feel trapped with a pdoc I don't trust anymore and don't know which way to go. I just typed up my week including the actions I took on myself because of this upset and frustration that I can't get anywhere, it'll be interesting to see if my pdoc says anything when I give it to him tommorrow.

I am so sorry.  That was very unprofessional of the Pdoc's office to book the appointment and then cancel right before your appointment. In US if we, the patient, don't cancel the appointment 24 hours ahead we are charged for the whole fee.  To bad we cannot reverse that one and charge the Pdocs for canceling us like that.
I can certainly understand your frustration.
Good luck with your appointment with your regular Pdoc.

Oh, that just stinks! I know how you feel---it seems like doctors get to refuse to see whoever they want---------;(
