My therapist and I are working on my learning to trust that I can take care of myself while out of the house during anxiety and/or a panic attack.  So to start this process, I have been giving the assignment to walk down to the end of my street, kind of a long way, 2 or 3 times a week.  I have to go alone, can't even bring the dog, and it is terrifying me.  I just don't know how to make myself walk out the door and head down the street.  I know very well what to do if I get anxious, but for some reason think that I'll just have brain freeze and not be able to think of anything.  If anyone has any advice or suggestions to help me get started and maybe some things to think about while I'm walking, I'd so appreciate it!  Thank you!

Junebug,

Think of it this way, your house is on fire and you have no choice but to leave, so rather than anticipating how awful it might end up being just get out and do it.  On your walk just tell your self this will only take 10 minutes and I am back home.  Tell yourself your safe, nothing bad is going to happen to you.

Now, Do It Kddo, I know you can. yeah
