Hi All,

I have been trying so hard to just take things one day at a time like everyone keeps telling me to and for the most part, I'm able to do that.  But there are times/days, such as today that I'm just plain depressed.  I want things to change back to the way they were and it's not happening fast enough.  Logically, I really do know that it's going to possibly take a few months for me to be able to have a "normal" life.  I know you all know what I'm talking about because you have either been there or are there now.

I am just so thankful that my family and friends are so patient and supportive.  Without them I don't know where I would be.

I guess I just needed to vent.  Thanks for reading this and thanks for letting me vent.

I don't think patience is at the top of anyone's list who has p/a.  I have days just like you are having now all the time and it does get frustrating, to say the least!  It's hard to feel awful for such long periods of time and its just natural to want things to be better now.  You'll get there Wen, just remember that where you are right now is only a temporary place.  I had been doing really well, and then a month of stressful situations, a bout of stomach flu and having a troublesome symptom return I'm back to having crummy days again.  I just hold onto the fact that I've been through this before and I will get through it this time too...and so will you!

Lyn and Junebug - thank you both for replying.  As you know, it really does help when others are either experiencing what you are or have experience it in the past.  I really do know that it's just one day at a time, but man that gets old quick.   tongue

I'm not a patient person to begin with, but I'm trying to how to be patient - that will be a task in itself - tongue .

Any way, thank you for the continued support, I really do appreciate it.

Wen

I am right there with you! My counseor tells me to take it slow. And be patient. Easier said than done! That's what I say! But, I still try my best. I try not to rush into things or overwhelm myself. Not easily done considering I am an 11th grader. School is a bit stressful and overhwelming!! Its hard when I dont feel like doing anything, but I have a lot of school work. I have no choice but to force myself into it or not do it and get a 0. Or sometimes I don't do it and then I get behind and it gets way overwhelming!! Thats not fun at all.

Lately I have been more down than usual. But, I try my best to deal with it. I TRY to be patient.

Hey, that's all you can ask for, just try! Take care!

Wen - life is hard and sometimes everything just mounts up into one huge mountain. But you are so doing the right thing by talking on here, keeping in touch with your friends and you most certainly are not shying away from it. Everyone here is here to help and want to help, helping one helps yourself too! Take care, thinking of you.

Thanks to all who responded - we all know how difficult it is to be patient and take things slow and we all have days that are particularly hard.  Which is what I was experiencing the other day - actually most of the week has been hard.  But I've gotten through it with only a couple of meltdowns.

Somehow, some way we will all get through this one step at a time.
