I have had bad anxiety for the past 3-4 months, I was on zoloft almost 2 yrs ago, made me a zombie and I was a completely different person when I was on it. -tried cymbalta and totally freaked on it, Tried lexapro and that seemed to make it worse too. Now I am taking 2 150 wellbutrins in the am and one at night. Haven't had any bad side effects but don't feel a hell of a lot better either. I have had a string of weird run ins with people, some people at my work, some in the neighborhood and now I cant shake the fear that everyone is out to get me. I dig up anything I have done wrong or at least what someone might perceive as being wrong and feel like I am going to get in trouble for it. No ones perfect, but the way I am feeling is way beyond anything I could have done. And feeling like this is totally out of my character so that makes it worse.

Here is the problem, I have been taking xanax .25's 3 times a day for the whole 3-4 months and now I think I NEED the xanax. When I feel like garbage I think its my body needing the xanax. -I confuse it with a panic attack because it feels a lot alike. I am now trying to get off the xanax and see if the wellbutrin will work on its own.

Anyone experience the "people out to get you feeling" or also had the same problem with xanax that I am having now?

Thanks!

Hey I kinda have that feeling I think. What I believe it is is that we are experiencing fear and most likely are self conscious to begin with so we mix the two feelings together. Probably because you are scared of having these thoughts they come back more often. Remember that recent studies have shown paranoid thoughts are as common as anxiety and depression itself! The only difference is that we are scared of having these thoughts, probably because we think it's something really wrong, so that's why they come back and make us worry more than we should.

This is my opinion anyway. If you stop giving these thoughts any emotional reaction they will stop coming back. It's very hard to do that I know, I have a hard time doing it myself. But that is indeed the way it works. Good luck!

I too believe it has to do with a lack of confidence and as posted fear............

I truly and totally believe that the A/P ..er's are the most caring and giving of many ppl

* My daughter Cait is a beautiful and very intellectual young woman BUT does have so many of the self concious problems happening it hurts me to no end ..........*
I have told her IF she could only see what I and others see ...........tells me I am biased ......perhaps a bit BUT I do know she will get thru this she is young enought and with my history of a/p and ALL the surrounding probs I am sure I can help her out to a point

She talks to our Family doc about all her personal feelings as well..........as do I .........he is very very empathetic and LISTENS just does not pretend too ya know

Wishing you a better go of it all
