Something is going on. I don't know what. I called my doctor's office yesterday on Satureday and she called me at home. I told her what I was feeling and she said she didn't know but came into the office on Monday if I could wait or go to the hospital if I couldn't. I'm trying to wait but it is hard!
I am getting these warm nauseau sensations in my stomach. They almost seem to wash over me. Some are preceeded by a sharp pain in my head. Some are followed by a need to go to the bathroom. The nauseau lingers and is awful. Yesterday I felt like everything had just disappeared for a millisecond before the episode and then felt like I was going to hit the floor but did not. Legs were heavy and weak. Found it hard to concentrate afterward for a few seconds. Was getting up from a chair shorty thereafter and felt heavy again like I was going to pass out. When the episode passes, I feel fine and completely normal.
Had several more warm, nauseaous waves wash over me most of the day. Then  one just hit today where I had a severe pain in my head, followed by the warm nauseau and hot, sweaty feeling.
What is going on? Itis hard not to be scared by this! Is this panic? Nothing special is going on when they hit and I'm never upset or thinking of something upsetting. ???? I'm getting scared! What would I even tell the people at the hospital if I went ? It all sounds so bizarre. ????
Please somebody tell me something!!!

Dear Hope,

I know you are afraid.  First of all can you tell me if your Dr. that you called was a medical physicial or a Pdoc?

I think if you decide to go to the hospital, you would just explain your symptoms and they would do a medical screening exam to determine what the problem may be,tests, lab work, EKG depending on your history and physical.

Most people that come to the ER do not know what is causing their problems and the physicians do not expect you too or you would not need them.  Please don't let that stop you from going if your Doctor you spoke to did not want to guess what was wrong and suggested going to hospital if you continued to have problems.

could it be anxiety, yes but as your not sure and you have talk with a Doctor on the phone, I would do what your instinct here is telling you to.  I think you want to be checked out now and if you do, go for it.

Hoping you will feel better soon.

Gentle Hugs

hey hopes,

It sounds to me like it is anxiety and or panic attack, i get the same feelings when i get an attack. Also what medication are you taking?, have you been on it for long?, The feeling of nearly passing out, and heavy headedness happens to me quite often, especially when i get up from a chair, or im in the vegie garden bending down and stand up, but with me i think its just my meds. Im not a doctor so dont take this as what it would be, do see your doctor, but i hope this sheds some light for you, and it is scary your not the only one who gets scared by this i do also, its natural. Hope your feeling better soon. :-)

I talked to my primary care physician on the phone. When I'm not hit by these symptoms, I'm feeling fine. They hit so randomly and out of the blue. I just don't know if it is anxiety or something really wrong with me. Sometimes I think it is all a stomach problem. Then I think it is my head sending out these signals after a blinding pain hits me. It is so weird. The head pain is not always there- only 4-5 times. I'm not really subject to headaches much and these don't stay. They are like a hit and run thing and no I haven't hit my head or had any trauma like that. I had my gallbladder removed about a year ago and I wonder if my stomach could be acting up because of that. ??? The only thing is why wouldn't it have bothered me the whole year. Why now? It just doesn't add up or make sense to me.

Oh...the only medicines I am on is for allergies-zyrtec and flonase. That wouldn't do it. ???

Oh my gosh, you guys, this is too funny. I went in to see the doctor this morning. She thinks it is just a hernia that developed from my gallbladder surgery last year! Here I was so freaked out and scared and it is probably something really minor! I'm going in for a couple of tests tomorrow- A chest x-ray and an upper GI. Then we'll see for sure. It feels good to know that it is something so small really. :-)

And its interesting how something so small can really over take you and make you feel really bad... Let us know how the tests go. Sounds promising!!!
