Hey, it sounds like a classic panic attack to me. It's awfully annoying to experience, but you're going to be ok. Have you ever felt this way before? I've had the arm numbness and I think it's caused by hyperventilation (which also makes your mouth dry). Feeling like you're going to pass out is fine as long as you don't pass out! I was once told that it is good to be standing up when you feel like you're going to faint...I don't know why that helps but I trust the person who told me that.
I don't think you should see a doctor or anything for your recent attack. It's nothing new, although there may be new sensations for you. I hope you don't let it get to you and stay calm during your next attack, and remember that your body is stronger than you think it is.

First I have to clarify if you have any heart issues or have you ever had this kind of chest pain before?

Can you think of anything that may have parcipitated this attack?  I realize lots of attacks just come out of no where as I have had them.  If the attack was self limiting then I would suspect it was a panic attack.

However if you feel it is something medical than you must make the decision if you need to follow through with your physician.  :-)

Let us hear how you are doing now?
