I started crying reading these posts. I have been feeling so scared and it's nice to know that there's other people out there with the same symptoms. I have been living with panic & anxiety for 6 yrs now. I just started having these wierd heart symptoms and I must check my pulse 100x a day sad I swear im going nuts!!!

Hello,

I understand what you are feeling.  I would get heart palpations and fluttering from the A/P.
I too would check my pulse throughout the day.  I was convinced it was cardiac.

Have you seen a doctor for your A/P?

Getting a complete physical is a good idea.  You may need to be on some type of medicine to help your A/P.   Also, knowing it is not your heart can give you peace of mind.

There are many wonderful people here who are very supportive.  Keep posting with us.

Good Luck to you.

Take care,
Mary

Thanks to the responds :-)   Iam really over Dr's though. Its always gets chalked up to be anxiety when they cant find anything significate!! Besides the anxiety & panic attacks my health problems started when a Dr told me I had Lupus when I went in for some hand pain from an accident. Ran some bloodwork...all down hill from there. It pretty much sent me over the edge. Its been one thing after another. Even though Iv been to a Rheumatologist. She told me some people just walk around with autoimmune antibodies...Yeh just enough for someone like me not to ever let it go sad Now it's these stupid heart things. So glad i joined this forum!!Finally some people that understand.

I am sorry to hear how much you have been going through. I hate the thought of anyone being scared, or in pain. I think coming to healingwell was a great thing for you. I know you will be happy here. You can ask questions, answer questions, search old posts for information, or just vent if you are having a bad day. You will always have a shoulder to cry on here! That's for sure.

Once again, welcome. I am so glad you found us!

mtngrl,

Welcome to Healing Well, as has already been said by others, this is a great place to be.  The family here is extremely supportive in any way that is needed.  I hope you continue to come here, become comfortable with us and open up as much as you want.

Although I do not deal with anxiety regarding my health (although maybe I should, considering everything I have going on), I do suffer from anxiety and panic issues.  No matter what, it's no picnic - it's not easy and as I have been told so many times by folks here it will take baby steps and you have to take things slow.  There is just no getting around it and I have tried to get around it - LOL.  But if you go too fast with things and don't deal with them appropriately you could very likely go backwards in your recovery and you sure don't want that to happen.  Patience is not my strong suit by any means, but I am having to learn to be patient with this.

For many people, meds and therapy work well together - but again this takes time and you have to find the right people to work with so that you are comfortable with them so that you can get the most out of it.

Stay well and keep posting!

Be strong, you are not alone. I also suffer from health anxiety. I think the best thing you can do is see a psychiatrist about it. Remember one thing, you are not going crazy.
