What are the things that are in your head that won't allow you to sleep?
 
Try putting them on paper.  I have been sleeping with a notebook next to my bed for 3 years.  Whenever I couldn't sleep, I'd roll over, turn on the light and start writing the thoughts I was having on paper.  As I look back, I was knocking a lot of weird things around in my head.  From, "You're gonna fail tomorrow."  to "Why did I volunteer for the potluck?" Putting it all on paper somehow cleared my mind and allowed me to sleep some nights.  Give it a try

Yes thi is a great idea and many ppl already do this I was one of them I now usually do sleep and dont have all this stupid thinking going round in my head .......I take my hot milk and trazadone and I am out for the count ......

Thats a great idea! I like that. Some times you need to just verbalize something -- get it out in the open, even if that open space is a journal. You take it from your mind to paper and it relieves you. Very cool. I'm gonna definitely do this.

Great Idea and keep posting.  We always need good ideas to help with insomnia as well as all the other anxiety issues.
