Hello All-
I just wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you. I have been suffering from panic/anxiety for about 10 years. I am currently not taking any medications and have noticed that the medications that they put me on makes me feel like a zombie. I am yet to find something that agrees with me and my system. I have been pretty lucky lately until Saturday night and I had one of the worst ones that I have ever had. I know that you all have been at the point that you thought that you were going to die and that this was th big one. I don't quite understand this disorder or why our bodies decide to play these great tricks on us. Yet we are the ones that are destine to deal with it. I too have noticed like several other women here that the on set of these attacks are generally around the time of my monthly. As they aren't enough to deal with LOL.... Anyway I am glad that I have found somewhere that there are other people that are dealing with the same things that I am. When I am going through these attacks I feel as if I am the only one in the world that deals with these attacks. I am glad that there is someone to confide in and someone that understand and wont look at you or judge you as someone that is crazy...

Hello and welcome to Healing Well and the A & P Forum.  I am Kitt and you have found a group of wonderful and caring people that know where you are coming from and what you are going through.

We all identify with how you feel about this disorder and have tried to find the answer to 'Why Me?"  Have you ever tried therapy? CBT is a very good therapy.

Cognitive therapy or (CBT) cognitive behavior therapy is a kind of psychotherapy used to treat depression, anxiety disorders, phobias, and other forms of mental disorder. It involves recognizing distorted thinking and learning to replace it with more realistic substitute ideas.

I am sure you will be hearing from our members with good advice and support for you.

Keep posting.

hello and welcome to Healing Well!!! You love our big family.

I myself had the WORST panic attack yesterday going to the casino. I felt I was going to go insane. I started bawling and couldn't drive any farther and had to have my fiance drive. It was too overwhelming.

UGH but I made it.... somehow... must have been an angel or something..

You're not alone!! I've been dealing with panic for years as well. It's frustrating sometimes. Sometimes I feel I'm never going to get better and sometimes I do.

TG~
I feel for you seeming how I just went through the same thing. I hope that you are doing better. Have you noticed that when you have these attacks the days following you don't not feel lie yourself nor do you have the energy that you had prior to the attack. It has been going on 5 days since I had that attack and I am just now getting back to where I can actually say that I feel a little like myself again. I am one that does not live with this on a daily basis. As I have read a lot on here deal with this disorder on a daily basis. My heart goes out to each and every one of you as I don't know how you do it. I am fortunate one that deals with them(attacks) on a monthly basis and I can go sometime long lengths of time before I have another but boy when they hit they are terrible.

But we dont get that lucky all the time. But maybe by us finding this place. We wont feel like we are alone. "Welcome"!!!!!!!!
