Hey Machelle...I am on Klonopin .5 mg twice daily. I take it once when I get up, and once before bed.

Many people take it on a regular basis to prevent the panic attacks instead of waiting to try to control one.

Everyone is an individual and uses the med for their own particular need and with their physicians orders.

I believe if you go to search the site you will find lots of post on Klonopin.  Take care and hope it works for you.

I agree with Tina, it may become habit forming.  I have been on a benzo everyday for 23 years and when I was really bad they switched me to Ativan.............I actually took 4 mg per day all at one time.........bedtime...........  No it did not knock me for a loop as my  body was used to the benzos.

Last January my Pdoc decided I should come off the benzo completely.  We switched to Valium for it's longer action and I weaned from Valium 40 mg. per day down to my current 2 mg.  After Christmas I go to 1 mg.

The benzos are a good med but they have downsides too.

Take care and keep posting
