I know some people were asking about this and I just found out today that the DMV does not consider fibro a disability.

I'm so upset.

Hi Laura...I don't know where you live but the DMV had nothing to do with me getting a handicap sticker.  I asked my doctor for one...he had all the paper work, checked the space that said 'permanent neurological/arthritic disorder' and I took the paper to the police station where I had one in my little fibro fist in about thirty seconds.  Maybe every state is different but I live in NY and the DMV was not involved at all.

Yep Yep.  Donna his this right.  I printed out the form which was online in my state.  Google it.  Read it carefully.  It will say something there about mobility.  You should be able to get one.

My doctor filled out my form. Then I took it to the DMV. I even got a disabled person's ticket so I did not have to wait as long as everyone else.

Same as the other posters for me too. Although I do have other issues other than fibro which qualified me for it. Good luck!
