For those of you who have neck problems, is there a certain pillow you use? I have used neck pillows in the past but they are always so stiff and uncomfortable, even while helping your neck. Thanks for any input!

golitho: yeah, I can't have a pillow that is too hard or too high. I have osteoarthritis and 2 herniated disks in my neck and if the pillow is too hard or too high, I will pay for it the next couple of days.

badDay: I have never tried a feather pillow. Will have to check it out, thanks.

We had to replace our mattress a couple of years ago and they had these coconut infused mattress and pillows, so we got two pillows thrown in and I love them. Go to a bedding place to look. We got them at Mattress firm in the USA. The smell of the coconut is refreshing and helps getting you to sleep...Try getting out to a few places to try out the pillows...

There one called "coconut bliss" at mattress firm and you can do a google search on it...not a cheap pillow around $50.00 but it's a good pillow.

OMG! I am glad someone brought this up!
My neck feels like it is cemented together! I went on a search for the perfect pillow or pillows.
I tried 2 different types.
One was half memory foam on one side and regular pillow on the other. I like it for different reasons. You can choose the side that is feeling better at the moment.
I also tried a memory foam pillow that is made of chunks of memory foam. This one is great because you can also scrunch it how you need it. Some people are allergic to feathers.
They were by sleep innovations.
Hope this helps!

I recently picked up some "Panda" pillows from Costco in the USA. They are the chunks of memory foam type. As Gstar said, it works well because you can shape it how you like.
Genetic fusion of C4-5, 3 bulged discs nearby. Myofascial pain from the mid back up. Crohn's and RA dx'd. Humira, Robaxin, Relafen, Norco and Methotrexate for the above. Zoloft, Valium for the mental aspects. And some omeprozol to control heartburn.

I use a beautyrest with 1 inch gusset around it and it's extra firm. Seems okay for me.

Honestly, it depends on the day. I rotate between three pillows. When I am feeling well I use a memory foam pillow.
