Has anyone tried Simponi for their RA? I have Crohns and RA, and my Rheumatologist recommended I switch from Remicade, which has been helping my Crohns, to Simponi to help both. I had my first infusion and things seem to be okay. Thought I pulled something in my back (I have no idea how) and that made things worse, but it's healing up.

I am looking for a new med or retrying an old one. I have never heard of simponi. Amazing, since all the ads on tv are for meds nowadays. Let us know how it's working out. Apparently it's an infusion like remicade?

Hi - somehow I missed this post! I use remicade for RA and ulcerative colitis, which as you probably know is similar to Crohn's. It's hard to believe that your rheumatologist doesn't know that remicade is prescribed for people with RA. But maybe I am missing something. But if you're already on Simponi and it's working, that's all that matters. For future reference though, remicade is prescribed for RA as well as IBD (Crohn's and UC).
Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2005 and rheumatoid arthritis in 1998. On Remicade since 2005 for both diseases. For UC tried sulfasalazine, Lialda, colazal and others which made me ill. Started 50 mg. Imuran July 2015. Use peppermint oil capsules and Bentyl which help during a flare and with IBS symptoms.
