Has anyone tried Bach Remedies for anxiety due to Crohn's or anything like that to "calm". I guess I've discovered Magensium is helping to calm me down, this is good. I'm also trying to take B stress vitamins for the stress of it all and b12 sublingually.

Bach Remedies is an herbal treatment to calm people. I've tried Calms forte for kids on my kid and calms forte for myself and never noticed any difference in calming.

Careful with the magnesium it can cause an increase in diarrhea. I take Xanax as needed for my anxiety. I only use it maybe 1-3 times a month. Good luck!

My mum swears by them, its been a while since I last used them and can't actually remember how effective they were but I remember I used it a fair bit so must of done something! Actually might have to get some in, got exams coming up soon could be handy!

I'm a Beethovan fan myself, and love my relaxation CD's (and Josh Groban seems to relax me as well). My son loooooves Hawaiian music K'eili Reichel or something like that- he finds it soothing and goes nuts for it.

Yes, I get peace of mind from music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Not quite what you all are talking about. :)

I LOVE the Bach's flower remedies, I use the Rescue Remedy constantly while I'm taking prednisone, and also the Impatiens and White Chestnut are my favorites.  I am so interested in using things like this because especially while on the pred, or if I am having a flare, I get SUCH anxiety.  It's terrible and really interrupts my life!  I also take xanax when I am tapering off the pred since my heart races so much and I get panicy but I like a more natural route whenever I can.

For anyone who doesn't know what Bach's flower remedies are, you can buy them in Whole Foods or natural stores, or actually alot of places now.  They are homeopathic tinctures and  flower essenses that come in a little glass bottle with a dropper, and during times of distress or trauma you can put a few drops in water t sip or under your tongue.  It works for some people, maybe not or everyone.  I adore them. :)

I think I might try!. So far meditation/prayer/positive thinking and eating right, rest, and magensium (and mineral salt baths) have been a big help! Anxiety does suck, I know! Thanks for info.
