Ok I did go to the ER and I just got home. In addition to everything else, I have a bladder infection. So what means is if I had not gone today, tomorrow would have been much worse than yesterday. I'm a little more hydrated and the pain is less. The nausea has gone enough to get some food in me. Thank you all for being my life line. Thank you how much you all care.

I'm so glad you went Sera, I can sleep tonight. tongue I was really concerned about you today. Do you take anything for anxiety??? I have not spent a night alone in my house for a long time. It doesn't bother me to leave him at home a lone.
Just remember anxiety is fear and fear causes physical symptoms which in turn cause more anxiety etc. I hope your DH is coming home soon.
How did you get to ER???
luv and hugs

Hi Sera,

I am also glad that you went to the er and found out that you got a dx. Like you said, it probably would have gotten worse and more painful if you wouldn't have.

Try to relax and you will be fine until your hb gets home. Take care of yourself and try to do things that relax you.

Best wishes,

I drove myself to the er. I did a quick assessment of my shakes and awareness to make sure I could drive. It was 5 miles and I was very careful on the way there and home. The\y gave me an IV of whatever that stuff is, along with an injection of 10mg of ondansetron for nausea, and. 30mg of something I have never heard of for pain. I was rehydrated and feel better, but this experience has taught me some things I need to be more diligent about, and that I must rest more and not spend my energy too quickly. Already once I was home and feeling better I burned up more energy than I had to share. I need more quality down time and I need to understand better my sweet husband has limits too when it comes to being my white knight. Wishing everyone a peaceful and painless night. Thanks again everyone, for keeping me going over the past 24 hours.

You scared me half to death last night! I saw your post and just wrote back a couple lines hoping you would respond right away and then all of a sudden you were gone! But I am very happy to hear you got in to the ER and got diagnosed. Lots of rest and relaxation OK? We're here for you if you need anything. GamJill

I am so glad that you are feeling better and that you made it to and from the ER alright.  You seem to have learned some lessons the hard way, like most of us do. :-)    Get lots of rest and take it easy for the next few days and things will be a lot better soon.

Once again, I'm soooo glad that you are doing better.

Sera, I'm so happy that you are feeling better!  I used to try to keep Gatorade on hand so I wouldn't get dehydrated, but I never needed it and would just throw it away.  Now I have found those little packets that you put in a bottle of water.  Crystal Lite makes a lot of them but Propel, which is like Gatorade, has them.  I found mine in the drugstore.  I keep them on hand because they have some electrolytes in them and they taste good, too.  Just a thought...  I don't want you getting sick like that again!  I'm glad you found out about the infection

I went to have a couple of rx filled and pick up a few things. The gatorade idea was a good one, altho you didn't warn me how nasty it tastes :) Today I am not feeling as good as I hoped I would. I am eating a few bites every few hours and drinking liquids. I started on anti-biotics, ewww but I guess its needed. The dehydration is really kicking my behind. My lips are chapped, my cuticles are so dry, but there are things I can do about that. I feel better that I used some energy to unload and reload the dishwasher, run a load of clothes, and straighten the bathroom. I am going to call a cleaning service for the hard stuff. The house was a real mess when my husband left, there is always a big mess everywhere when you go off for a long trip far from home. I have some folding of clothes to do, but I can sit on the bed for that- the hardest part of that is putting things away! I must forgo my volunteer hours tomorrow tho- not real happy abolut that, but I know its for the best. I can hear you telling me not to go too far and spend all my spoons too quickly. Thank you all again for helping realize how bad I was and keeping me going. Oh yea- one more question- how can I distinguish actual hunger from nausea? When my stomach feels queasy, I'm not sure if i am nauseated or empty. Know it sounds dumb.

I don't know of any way you can distinguish it.  If you haven't eaten in a while, it most likely is hunger.  I will get nausea in the morning before breakfast.  So, keep drinking and have many small "meals".
I don't like Gatorade, either.  The fruit punch flavor is the only one that isn't too bad.  I like Propel.  It's more of a flavored water.  My favorite flavor is peach.  You can get that at Walmart.  Propel also has packets that you can put in bottled the Crystal Lite packets.  I keep them on hand and use that instead of the bottled product.  It doesn't spoil.  I do like nearly all the Propel flavors and it is an energy drink like Gatorade.
