Hi everyone, has anybody tried the guaifenesin protocol for fibro ?
Has anyone read http://www.fibromyalgiatreatment.

I am curious about your experiences or opinions about it. Thanks.

I know a woman who uses guaifenesin. She said she was diagnosed, the doctor recommended it and that's all she does. I don't think she has much trouble at all. People say "yeah I have it but I just ignore it". What???? Gotta be degrees of it. I can't ignore mine.

I agree Barb about the degrees. If and when I have tried ignoring it, it only gets worse.

Thank you Both for responding. I try what I can to dig and research but with my condition, it takes alot out of me. I think I get overwhelmed with information. It triggers more pain, seriously. So I can only do so much and my mind and body lock up.

I often get these "lock ups" even when I'm not doing research. most of the time it happens when I'm flaring up with nerve pain. I can't move , can barely talk (only say quick action words), meanwhile my mind is begging myself to move out of the "lock " so I can take pain meds to ease symptoms .

I've tried talking about this "locked" before but haven't heard anyone with this. so if there is anyone experiencing this or any information for me. I do appreciate it.

Thank you.

Kinda get the lock analogy..

If the weather is bad and I am distracted and not taking care of myself..I almost get to the point where I forget what I should do about my symptoms..

When I get to " overwhelmed" point..I try to remember to stop and do some acupressure points. Acupressure is very calming to me and I can do it anywhere..I also use an acupressure mat at night before sleep.

If I am remembering that protocol, it relates to biofilm? I just have never tried it..

I remember seeing it .

It seems like because the cause is disputed, that mostly we have to treat our symptoms the best we can.

Our weather is bad right now, so I am pretty slowed down, waiting it out some..

Oh I think there are many degrees of fibromyalgia..

My sister seemed to have different symptoms than I do.

And she claims she ignores it..but not so much..she thought if she ignored it she would feel better..

Occasionally she opens up and says how she really is doing..
