If the job doesn't work out, would there be some kind of work you could do from home? Sales? Crafts? Just an idea.
My SIL with MS got a part-time position at a local church, planning activities for preschoolers. It worked well for her and wasn't too strenuous or tiring; just a few hours a week was what she could handle. The church has since made changes, and unfortunately, her position was cut. I guess we take whatever works for us at the time, as far as jobs go.
