Having a flare up as have lupus as well.

What will help with pain ~

I use ibuprofen, Tylenol, magnesium malate. Vitamin D3, and a muscle relaxer called Robaxin. Hot showers help me in a flare and moving...walking especially. It's tempting to just sit and not move but that will make you stiffer and have more pain.

I also use a muscle roll on called Sombra that helps with pain and I do Trigger Point Therapy on myself to help get rid of muscle knots. Stretching helps me also.

I take gabapentin & vicoprofen. Hot baths/showers, heating pads, good old fashioned sunlight, & gentle exercise are a lifesaver for me.

My research (for Fibro) has often recommended Magnesium Malate + Malic Acid. Also, Vitamin D3 (5,000 mg).

I take Ibuprofren and Baclofen (muscle relaxer) as well.

Hope you feel better soon!

Magnesium malate is magnesium with magic acid in it. You don't have to buy two things. It has helped me a lot...along with vitamin D3.

Thanks for the info! I have been taking Magnesium Chloride with the Malic Acid. Now I know that I can just buy Magnesium Malate which will include Malic Acid.

How much Mag Malate do you take?

I just purchased this trigger point massage tool too (for pain relief / self help): https://www.amazon.com/Body-Back-Companys-Trigger-Therapy/dp/B005F9F5H4?th=1

in Fibro 101 there is a link about magnesium malate. I take six capsules a day.

The Trigger Point book I got was The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook. This shows diagrams of the body and where to find the Trigger points. If you google...The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook Amazon...it should pop right up.
