My husband and I became grandparents for the first time this week! turn

She is a beautiful baby girl, who arrived about 11 days early, but is healthy and doing great. She is tiny and so cuddly.

A real blessing. As you might guess, this news made our week. yeah

Oh Luvz,

What wonderful news! I'm so happy for you and your family. That is absolutely a blessing.

Have you had a chance to hold her yet? Hope ur DGD and the new Mommy are home and doing well.

Enjoy this new stage in your life!

God bless. Alice.

Congratulations on such wonderful news! I would love to have grandchildren but I don't think that's going to happen now. So, I'll share your joy. Enjoy your beautiful granddaughter.

Oh Luvz, Iam so happy for you. I became a grandma for the first time last Dec. I'm 71 and thought this was never going to happen.

Do you live near the baby? We live in S. California and our grandbaby lives in the Midwest so we don't get to hold him often. We have traveled to see him 3 times this year though. Thank goodness for FaceTime. We get to see him everyday.

Congratulations for such a wonderful blessing.
And on the eighth day God created Golden Retrievers.

Thanks for the kind, sweet wishes, everyone! smile

Alice, yes, we did get to see her the day she was born, then again last weekend. I felt as though I were holding one of those 1960s baby dolls--my own children were born a lot bigger! She's healthy, though, as is her mom---thanks for asking.

Sherrine: If you were nearby, I'd invite you to go along to see her. I think you would be an awesome grandma! You were a teacher, if I recall correctly, and I'll bet you were great with kids. Do you still do any sort of "kiddy work" through your church or related? Though I only know you through this forum, you would seem to be a very good mentor to little ones.

puppylover: That's so great that you can go on FaceTime to see your grandbaby every day---cool! smile

Lj: Yes, just looking at a newborn helps me remember what a miracle they are. Chokes me up every time!

Thanks again, all. Hope everyone is doing well. smile
