So yesterday was the migraine from hell. Today I cant hold down any food or even gatorade. My stomach is cramping so diarrhea (sp) is on its way. Also my blood pressure is bottoming out, because I feel like Im going to pass out everytime I stand up. My legs are killing me and my small joints hurt. So far I have a fever of 101.6. This hasnt happened since Nov 2016. I was hospitalized three times last year for this but the doctors couldnt figure out why I kept getting all of these infections. So at what point do I say enough and go to the ER. Last May I waited three days, I lost 22 in those three day and the infection turned sepsis. The doctor said if I had waited one more day I would have died. Your experiances and advice is much appreciated. Dustmite

Hi Dustmite. I noticed no one answered your post and everyone deserves an answer even if it's from li'l ol' me. I saw you posted later so have you been to a doc regarding your first flare? I my opinion a temp of 101.6 is high for a flare, but I've never run abnormal temps with Lupus. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable regarding this will reply so you will know next time.

I'm no stranger to my companion diarrhea. Between the vomiting, high temp, and my personal favorite I hope you've had a cup of ice chips, popsicles, and Gatorade with you at all times (even while running to the potty). Yep anything to stay hydrated.

I'm certain that my rheumy and his staff hated me in the early flares, but an experienced rheumy nurse can be invaluable over the phone so next time give them a call. No one wants to find you unconscious on the bathroom floor in a puddle of, well you know....Love, Butterflake

I can tell help or give any advice because my lupus isn't nearly that severe but just wanted to say good luck and I hope you start feeling better and I'm sorry you are going through all of this. Wishing you the best
