hi everyone
yes dr wallace is great .he saved my life. 7 years ago i was preg with my 4th baby , had severe preclampsia and had the baby 10 weeks early. 2 days after his birth i developed a 105.0 fever , severe body /joint pain, my lungsfilled up with fluid. i almost died. un fortuantly thehosp i was in was also the one i worked at was a 99 bed hosp and didnt have a clue about autoammuine disease. eventually i went home but i have never been the same sad iwent to several doc over a 4 year period with all the symptoms of lupus but know would run labs past a basic cbc , and chem panel. till this day i run afever of at least 100.5 daily. finally my husband decided totake me to dr wallace. we left his office that day knowing i had lupus . he also discovered i have hypogammaglobonemia (which means i have the inabilty to make antibodys to fight off infections. so i get intrvaneous immunglobulin every 4 weeksto basic keep me alive. after writing all this all i wanted was to tell everyone tha the lupus book by dr wallace has all in fo you need he is extremly intelligent and has devoted his life to finding a cure for lupus, i am also writing abook it will be called the many faces of lupus , it will be different stories about peoples experiances and how this disease has changed their life so if anyone is interested in sharing there story for the book please let me know. all my doctors here in town just told me iwas anxious , or overly tired or depressed . these were my colleges. oh well my little boy is 7 anddoing great praise the lord. hope my story wasnt to lenghty goodnight all may the lord bless you all jan

Hi Jan,

   It sounds like you went through the ringer before you saw Dr Wallace....((Hugs)). I'm glad your husband took you to see him.

   Thank you for sharing your story with us. I'm glad to hear your son is doing so well. I wish you the best with your book. I think its great to hear stories from people who suffer with this disease so we can all relate to certain things. Let us know when it will be published so we can get a copy!

   You take care and keep us updated. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Jan,

I'm waiting to get in to see Dr. Wallace. Well, chances are I won't get "him" but someone else in his practice. Its so good to hear you praise him. It gives me hope. I have the Lupus book and its awesome. There is stuff in his book that outright contradicts what a local Rheumatologist told me only two weeks ago. Its such a great book.
