I was just prescribed Imitrex by my doctor.  I don't understand why so many people use the oral tablets or nasal spray, when they can get much faster relief by using the injectable.  Can someone comment on this?
Thanks.

My doctor didn't mention any of the other methods to me when she prescribed the tablets for me. I would have probably gone for the nasal method, as I get very nauseated with my migraines, and the tablets sometimes don't stay down!
I'm not too good with needles, so I probably wouldn't go for the injectible, however, if it works quickler, then it's probably worth putting my fear of them to the back of my mind!

Have you ever used the injections? They hurt like He**...I have those and the nasal spray (I vomit with migraines so I can't take pills)

I guess either most people don't know too much about them and two, the imitrex stat dose system hurts so bad I try to use the nasal spray first (and that tastes bad too!!)
I'm not complaining, but if I could take a pill instead, believe that I would
