|I've had the same aura headaches. No one can give me a straight answer why they happen (my physician, neurologist, cardiologist). The doctor suggested that maybe it had something to do with low blood sugar. They seemed to always occur just before lunchtime. I would feel spacey and dizzy, and then I would see flashes of light out of my left eye. Slowly my vision would be greatly affected--seeing everything double. There episodes would last only 20 minutes from start to finish and then just disappear. Within the last 8 years, I've had a total of perhaps 10 episodes. Twice I've been able to "talk" myself out of it. I'll have you know I'm not on any medication. The doctor once suggested that I take one ibuprofin/day. Tried it and still got them. My auras, I believe, are brought on by stress, over-exercising, and low blood sugar.
It's comforting to see from this forum that there are other people, like me that are experiencing these same freaky aura migraines.
