I've had what has been diagnosed as a migraine that just has not ended for going on two months. I may have post concussion syndrome.....still sorting that out. This all started with a migraine with aura that I had once before about a year ago. I have no relief. I've had a normal CT scan with iodine. The headache is bilateral now behind both eyes. I've noticed that looking at screens or trying to read or focus my eyes is quite a challenge and makes the headache way worse. My vision however is perfect. Naproxen is not helping me. I get dizzy a lot. Is the eye focus thing typical of chronic migraines?

Eye focus sounds typical of post concussion, however I am NOT a health professional. Just a 4 time concussion sufferer.

Are you seeing a neurologist? Most important.

How long have you been on the Naproxen? Could take up to 2 months to work or see effects, may need to be increased or combined with another med.

Keep talking with the doc and be an advocate for yourself.

Do not allow them to let you be in pain.

Change neurologists if you have to. I went to 7 before I found the one that worked. Then he died. However, I got lucky and the next one was good also.

How did you end up with so many concussions?

Yes, seek help if you haven't already.

I have had a headache and feel a lot of pressure in my head, along with having neck pain for almost 7 years. I've been in school that whole time almost, and tried to ignore the pain as best I could.

Now though I'm making a genuine effort to get to the bottom of this pain. I've had an MRI which was normal. I've been to an ENT, and an eye doctor. I have 20/15 vision and nothing wrong with my eyes. I have big tonsils, but they're always like that and the ENT didn't think it was something to worry about. The headaches are not sinus headaches. Chiropractic helps for about an hour after I am adjusted, but then the headache returns. Hot showers also alleviate the pain for about 15-30 minutes. Exercising regularly seems to help overall. So far medications have not helped, and I've taken the following: advil, tylenol, naproxen, topamax, amitriptyline, and verapamil. None of these helped.

I'm seeing a neurologist who might have some further insight.

Please let me know if you've found anything that helps.

Hang in there!
