So I've been suffering from a headache for 12 days now. It gets worse when bending over, or when lying down. I've seen my doctor and he wanted me to get blood work and a CT scan. I decided to wait a week for a CT scan to see if some prescription medicine would help it, but I went through with the blood work. The blood results haven't come in yet, but are supposed to today. And now a week later prescriptions did nothing and my headache is worse, but I'm not sure if I should get CT scans now. My headache also makes me nauseous if that's helpful.

Welcome to the forum.

Why are you waiting on the CT scan?

No information can be found out unless tests are completed and other diagnosis's are ruled out, before the doc can say it is a migraine.

Do yourself and favor, make the appointment and get the scan done.

I have had 3, and I am clostiphobic [sp] Not a problem. You can ask the doc for a relaxing med like Xanax and have someone drive you or take a cab.

Let us know how you do.
