Just starting Arava with Humira.  Would like to know any comments from those that might have taken or may still be taking Arava.  Humira has been a miracle drug for me.  I was taking Methotrexate with it and due to some Pulmonary problems, stopped the Meth. I was on Predisone for a while and Dr. said when that stopped that I would probably have problems again. Dr. said that Humira works best with Meth or Arava.  Prior to the pulmonary problems I was for six months perfect.  I did not have one single problem and felt great. Did not even know I had a problem(RA).
Waiting to feel that great feeling again!!!!!

Hey Gentry.. welcome to the forum! I'm glad you have found some success with your meds, unfortunately, I am not on Arava.. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to share their story.. I would love to hear about your experiences with it though..

Hi Gentry, I'm on Plaquenil with Arava. I had a lot of problems with Methotrexate as well, but I am not having the same issues with arava (which I was afraid of). The plaquenil worked wonders for me and I took it solo for about 2 years, but after a while I was starting to have a severe flare that wouldn't let up - so we gave it a push with the Arava. i'm doing quite well with the combo. I started last April, i believe.
i'm highly sensitive to a lot of drugs and was initially taking 1 pill twice a day. After a few months some of the side effects were concerning me, so we cut it back to 1 pill a day. I just started toggling my amount in January - 1 pill one day, 2 pills the next. It seems to be helping me through the winter weather better.
Good luck.
