Does anyone have a yeast infection and feel it contributes to the arthritis. Was put on yeast infection for 7 days and I feel better with the pain. On Plaquenil also. We will see redface

Anything that activates my immune system will cause pain. So yeast overgrowth, tree pollin, cold, etc make me achy and give me swollen joints. Treating those problems makes the arthritis better too.

Thank you for the hints. Have tried yogurt but am lactose intolerent.

SJ I bet you are right on the about the immune system. I don't know which it is the plaquenil or
the yeast med.
Does anyone know what kind of probiotics to take for arthritis since I can't take yogurt.?
I have Polymyalgia Rheumatica.

Hi,

Eating yoghurt wont do much for a yeast infection - try putting it up your vagina at night - very very soothing.  Or go to the chemist for a thrush cream - they work wonders too.  I have just got over 5 weeks of a severe yeast infection - had nizoral tablets and two weeks of nilstat cream morning and night.  Cranberry juice is also very good as well even though it tastes revolting.  But what ever you do dont put a garlic clove up there (looked up natural cures for thrush on internet and said to do that) - worse mistake ever - reeked of garlic the next day and made everything 100 times worse!!! My doc had a great laugh over that one!!!
