I just had both of my SI [sacroiliiac] joints injected this morning. I have not been able to sit longer than 5 minutes for 8 years. Mine comes mostly from sacroiliitis but I also have moderate to severe DJD and facet disease of the spine and OA of bot hips. I feel your pain!
Anyway, my injections are done under xray guidance to insure that the proper area is injected. I have had lots of joints injected in my life so these never bother me. My doc sedates lots of his patients who are concerned about
the procedure. I don't take or get anything. Noy knowing where he plans to inject, I can't tell you what to expect. I doubt you are having SI injections because those are pretty specific to the disease I have [AS].
