Hi all,
I have been sick with what they think might be colitis (not diagnosed) for 3 years now. about 10 years ago my ankle started bothering me. Never ached when I was sitting, but on movement it was untolerable. This pain has over the years spread and now I get it in both ankles. From that period of time and until today I have had pain on and off in my lower back, tailbone and buttocks. The tailbone pain shifts sides and spreads down my buttocks and the back and front of my thighs. I have also had what I call flares of pain all over my body, and the pain that I was hoping someome might know more about.
When I have these flares the pain (throbbing type of pain) might start say in a few fingers. Then my elbow and wrists might hurt. After a while my knee and ankle joins in and before I know it my neck hurts as well. Then all of a sudden my fingers aren't hurting anymore, but my toes hurt. It kinda moves around. The funny thing is that my joints dont hurt when I move them. Its just a throbbing pain that is constant. I was reading about enthesistis and wondering if it could be what I am experiencing, but I keep thinking that the pain would stay put an not migrate all over.
It would be greatly apprecieated if anyoen has a clue....

Hi there

So sorry you are having these awlful pains. I have never heard of ethesitis but I have found a site linking it to AS(Ankylosing Spondylitis)
Which is talked about alot around here.

It suggests the biologic rheumatiod drugs to reduce the problem.

type in: http://jayval-global.com/?p=1724 on the internet to read some relevant info.

Hope this helps

I'd say your best bet is to get yourself to a good rheumatologist

ps. Catch up with "Judilyn, Forum Moderator" under the post-
"From the UC forum.... per arthritus". She explains this arthritis is common to UC sufferers
