Does any one else have this problem?
My legs are very stiff and sore. It's really bad on the morning. I can barley walk when I get out of bed. The stiffness loosens up after bit but the pain never goes away. My family doctor Had me do some blood work and a ultrasound on my legs. The ultrasound came back good with no problems. He put me on tramadol.  Tramadol did'nt do much for me. He made an appointment for me with a nuroligist. After a few test at the nuroligist he told me he couldn't find anything wrong either. He put me on lyrica. lyrica seems to be much better than tramadol for me. The nuroligst made me an appointment for me to see a rumatholigist.
My legs only hurt when walking or standing. No pain while sitting or laying. It's been really bad these last few months. Very stiff and sore legs. The pain seems to move around in my legs also from day to day. It's all in my legs and no where else.

Dear soxx
Good to meet you, although I am sorry about your pain.
So the appointment with the rheumatologist is soon.
I think he will do some blood works to see what is going on. He may even prescribe you some other pain relief
All the best and keep us posted

Dear Soxx,

my arthritis started in 1 knee, moved to both knees and then to my ankles and feet. after a few months i couldn't hardly get out of bed in the morning. after a year and a half or random doctors ideas i was diagnosed with Ankolosing spondolitis (spelling is propably wrong). i hope you don't have this kind of arthitis, it's the pits. but I'd get an appointment with a good rhuemitoligist, then get several more optionis from other rhuem. it took me 3 primary care, 2 osteo specialist and 3 rhuems and 1.5 years to get a firm diagnosis.

good luck.

I also have leg pains, especially in my right knee. First of all the pain started off in the right knee, now I have got it in both knees.I have swelling and stiffness in my right knee. i have been looking at the symptoms of osteoarthiritis, I feel as though they resemble my symptoms. i have had an x-ray, need to go for results at the end of the month. Dreading to go to the G.P. I hope its not arthiriis because i am quite young.

Hi Everyone,

Soxx: I have some sore joints but my spinal stenosis adds to the pain in my legs when standing or walking. I wake up quite stiff too. With spinal stenosis you can relieve the pain in the legs simply by bending forward, see if that helps. Spinal stenosis also causes cramps in the legs and can effect your balance and gait. Push yourself hard enough and your leg or legs could go dead -- no control. Did I mention the incontinence?

Queen: I have a bad knee too. My good knee takes a beating because of it.

Good Luck

Hi Folks,
I can surely sympathize with the problem. I was 7 when I got it and it took over most of my body by 20.
Back then, unless you couldn't move you didn't go to the drs. I was diagnosed at 25 and have tried most
of the crap prescribed by the drs. I just hope I don't have any of the long term side effects like cancer, ms
kidney or liver disease, heart problems, etc.
In 1987 I purchased a water bed and got rid of my conventional one. After a few weeks I noticed I could
get up and move in the morning without hanging onto walls. My bed popped this winter but I will be purchasing
a new one before this winter hits.
I also have the popping and crunching in the joints along with fibro. I've gone totally herbal now and the
relief is amazing. I still had a lot of pain the first few months but now hurt on a bareable level. I take
Super Cissus RX, Malic Acid and Bio-Sil. They work on CORRECTING the problems we face not just masking
the symptons. They rebuild the damage. I was sceptical at first but the guy at the herbal shop I go to
said he damaged himself pretty bad from lifting and this FIXED him. I'm glad I tried it, and have been on
it for nearly 5 months now. I even managed 6 1/2 walking arouind the NY state fair with 3 kids.
Please check into these and you won't regret it. I have a thread on the fibro site "herbal relief from pain"
Don't hesitate to post me.

I have had a lot of pain in the backs of my legs. I play a lot of sport and it started while i was playing, I use to have to come off in the middle of the game because my hamstrings/calves felt heavy and so sore when i ran. I have stopped playing for the past 4 months. I have been stretching my legs every morning and night for the past 4weeks, but after stretching my legs are just so stiff during the day, I find the stiffness so annoying, and it gets worse when i start to run.

Thanks for reading
Any help would be much appreciated

Have you seen an orthropedic doctor? They can help you find a solution to your pains?

Hi Everyone,

I have some of the similar symptoms. I have been going to different Doctors for the last 10 years and no one has been able to help me and my symptoms have gotten worse. Here are my symptoms:

- Stiffness in my legs (below knees) 95% of times
- Aching Pain in my legs (below knees) 90% of time
- Aching Pain in my hands
- Pressure on my lower back
- bruise pain (when pushed on) on top of my feet, and palm of my left hand

I have to keep changing positions. I get up with pain 100% of times. Through the night I keep switching so my pain would change. If I walk after 5 minutes, the pain starts (Really bad and stiffness) if I set down, it changes but than it starts again.

I have tried EVERYTHING. physical therapy, different pain medications (From doc), shoes, heating pad etc.

I keep thinking it is from my back, because when I push on my spinal I feel like the pain moves, but the doctors tell me my back is like anybody else in my age. ( I am 37)

I always had chronic ankle pain when I was a kid and what I did was rap my leg with a t-shirt to fix the pain. I still do that and as soon as I put pressure it goes away, but that is only short term solution, because than it comes back.

ANY HELP would be appreciated it, because it is beginning to effect my life. When you have pain almost 95% of time, you tend to be a little moody.

Have you had an ANA blood test? Your symptoms sound so much like the pains I get with Lupus.
