I went in to have my C spine MRI'd. It came back with lots of problems.
Then, they did my shoulder. I'd had something to calm me and help with
the pain but it didn't work,
I moved and messed up the image. I didn't feel like I was moving AT ALL but
apparently, I was.
I was charged for the MRI that didn't work. I think it's unfair. I was in radiology
for FOUR hours. They were doing paperwork, blood work, emergency paitents etc.
By the time I got in the tube I was in SCREAMING PAIN. They played music for
me - scratchy music. The music they played would have been good if I'd been
riding a motorcycle. Unfortunately, it was scratchy and it skipped. No wonder i
It was a terrible experience for ME. I've had them before and they were no big deal.
This one was not ok.
Next time I'll have complete anesthesia. The thought of being completely out in that
tube is not a pleasant visual. My shoulder hurts really bad but maybe I'd just rather
deal with the pain then go back to the hospial FOR THAT. At this point, I just don't
I take Methadone and think that the pre-MRI medication didn't work for me because
the Methadone blocked the effects of the MRI. I didn't have even a little pain relief or
feeling of relaxation.
The did tell me that the shoulder is the most difficult to MRI.
