I was dx with HSV I about a year ago and have since only had the one outbreak. I was dx with RA about a month ago. My PCP now thinks the RA has kept the HSV at bay since my immune system is basically in overdrive. I fear that I will have more outbreaks now that I'll be taking Enbrel (lowering my immune system).

Does anyone else have both HSV and RA? Thanks in Advance.

I'm sorry I'm not sure what HSV is? But I hope someone will come along that does.  Hopefully the Enbrel will not lower your immune system too much.

Hi Laura...Well, I didn't want to make any assumptions, I'm sure you understand!
As for the Enbrel, I took it for a little over a year, and I actually had more issues with infections on Methotrexate than I did on the Enbrel.
