I just had an MRI done on my left knee. Results: torn lateral meniscus, OA behind the knee cap, and lots of inflammation in the iliotibal band. My left knee gets pretty swollen at times. My right knee also swells and crunches when I walk upstairs. A month ago, I had to crawl up the stairs to our bedroom. Since then I have had two medrol packs. I also take Celebrex 200 mgs. I am waiting to see a rheumatologist. My blood tests are negative, but I have had two instances of level nine pain only relieved by prednisone. My orthopedic says I have some sort of inflammtory arthritis, he thinks. I have a swollen left wrist, two swollen elbows, two swollen knees and iliotibial band syndrome. Years ago a rheumy told me I had a mild case of RA. The last rheumy I saw told me I have Erosive Inflammatory Osteoarthritis. I don't know what I have, but it is very, very painful. In addition to the pain, I feel like I have the flu and I get chills sometimes and then hot. I have never taken my temperature, but I feel as though I have a fever sometimes. I know that no one on here is a doctor. I am just wondering if this could possibly seronegative RA. The fatigue is overwhelming when I flare. Any input would be appreciated. I don't expect expert advice, just some ideas and to learn from others' experiences. Thanks so much.
