If you are going to juice a lot of fruit, you might want to watch your blood glucose levels. My doc says better to eat the raw fruit and veggies, because you get the fiber that way. I have never tried it. Would be interesting to see what you think of it.

Hubby started it a week ago he says he feels Great we had a tv show here called " Fat Sick & Nearly Dead" and the Guy on there was the instigator of these juice idea i am thinking of doing it more as a suppliment than a full on diet But just wondered if anyone had tried it for RA as i had heard of them being used for treatments.
obviously he Likes the Fruit ones better than the vegi but we are making sure he gets both cos he's not eating anything else, where as i am at moment, and yes i was a bit worried about the diabeties will have to check.

From my experience and research, fruit juices are not recommended...too high in sugar. Fruits need to be eaten as whole, with the fiber.

Nevertheless, green leaves and vegetable roots can be juiced. Apple is the only fruit that I juice and mix with veggies for a better taste. Also, I add lemon in almost all juices. It's a good alkalizer.

I like to keep the juices simple (2-4 ingredients). Beet juice I drink it by itself, as I do with the dandeloin juice. The last one is really bitter...so a small shot of it will make me happy.....

I like
carrot-apple-ginger-lime/lemon juice
cabbage-fennel-apple
kale-cucumber-apple

I found that in the morning it's better to eat fruits and keep the green juices for lunch time....

Hi Anto,
Thanks thats really interesting,  Dandelion ? do you get it in a juice form or the plant ? if so what sort of store would have it,
i realise being in another country-Australia  may differ but it could be simular
Hubby's been eating Bananas and if i "juice" them i actually Blend them and do a  Banana,Avocado,Pear,Ginger
he likes most of the juices if i add apples and also have added comercial brand Berri fruit juice apple & Blackberry he adds this to most of the Vegie ones, i'll try the mixes you put here, i have wanted to try them but Hubby being of the "old male chauvinist type" said No you need to eat a varied diet so wont "let" me go on all juice but he is swearing by it as its now been about 3 weeks and hes lost weight and more important Feels Better says he feels like a fog has lifted.
we've also been cheating and buying some pre-done ones a typical mix he likes is new to our market it is itoen has 20 Veggie's + 3 Fruit and tastes good.

Only being able to eat a mere-1200 calories to maintain a weight I wish I had less than...I aim to get 0 calories from anything I injest as drink. I could never afford to add calories with any kind of juice fruit or vegetable.
Already limited to oatmeal for breakfast and a tossed salad with no goodies in it and light dressing....I look forward to my sensible dinner that includes meat, starch and another vegetable.....

I have heard of the juice diets, but have not tried any of them. I just don't have the time. Although with my gastroparesis, the veggie ones would be a great option since I can't have salads and most veggies. Let us know if you try any of them and if they work out!

Oh weary!! Gosh that sounds about as depressing as my gastroparesis diet! Today, my daughter asked for a candy bar at the grocery store, and now that I am off of the pred, I can't eat a darn thing. She kindly asked if I wanted one and I had to decline :( It was depressing seeing my jello and Gerber baby peaches slide along on the conveyor belt. That and I have only lost a measly 3 lbs from my pred fiasco. I will trade you your oatmeal for my malt-o-meal!

Berries are suppose to be anti inflammatories, blue berries especially good. So you could throw a few blueberries into the mix.
Also apple cider vinegar is suppose to be good maybe that could counter some of the sweetness?
I really don't know, sounds lovely though. I love watermelon juiced with ginger and lemon, really refreshing.
Best wishes, happy juicing, golitho

Juice fasting also cleanses your body digestive system of disease causing toxins. The nutrients in fruits and vegetables have the capacity to boost your immune system and help your body.
