Thanks for the suggestion of being tested for staph--I appreciate it. The answer to your question is no, because no doctor has ever seen me with one of these "burns".
Every time I have a routine appointment, I'm in-between "outbreaks", and when I get one, I can't get in to see a doctor till after it's healed--it's very frustrating.
I took some pics with my cell phone and showed them to my general practitioner, but she had no idea. I don't see my rheumie till October for a regualr appointment, but I know if I called to make one sooner, the one I have now would be healed by the time she could get me in...very frustrating!
Twice I've gone over a month without getting one, and then other times, I get two on the same day--it's very unpredictable.
I've been dealing with some kind of "mystery illness" for almost two years now, so I don't know if this is the latest manifestation of that, or if it's totally unrelated. Sigh.
Anyway, will bring staph up to my doctor--thanks again!
