Hi it doesn't Kill your immune system it dose lower it
I'm the wrong person to advise as I had a VERY Bad reaction to Plaquenil ended up in hospital so I guess I caution people to keep a check BUT My Reaction Was Rare called a Stevens Johnson Reaction started with a sore throat I ignored it then a Temperature then went down hill from there
But since being on this site I have heard a lot of Good things about it so Hopefully some of those people will contact you.
RA is a Long Term thing you Wont Get Better overnight and you will probably try a few different drugs till you find one that works for you
Because it deals with our immune system Everyone reacts Differently some drugs Work Wonders others have No effect but all you can do is keep talking and researching that old Saying Know your enemy , Learn as much as you can about RA and Treatments and how different people cope
I guess one good thing is as it is so changeable you may be crappy one day but bit better the next
