I wish they gave home kits for cortizone shots, & fluid draining kits! Weekend rains is moving in today, & wrist surgery in the next 3-4 wks. I have to contact the hand sergeon to see if I can get a shot, & wouldn't you know it he's not in today. Lol sorry to blurb, but it gets so agervating sometimes ya know!

Hang in there. We're having a rainy spell where I live and it's KILLING me! I really feel your pain (literally). Hang in there. Lots of warm showers/baths help when I'm hurting. Maybe that would help you?

I cant stand straight for a shower & cant get myself out of my tub :( but my heating pad becomes my best friend when I swell up, or ice packs. Just not working like it should. Thanks Stef17. Lol my little sisters name is Stephanie :) its one that's seldom heard.

Hey, have you considered buying a shower chair? It's a little bench type seat that fits in the tub or shower stall. I got one a couple of years ago and it has been a life saver. I have the same problem as you- I can't stand long enough to shower and can't lift myself out of the tub either. The shower chair has been such a blessing. I wouldn't have thought of it, but my mom (a geriatric nurse) bought it for me for my birthday and I told her I'd try not to be insulted. Lol! Anyway, turns out it was just what I needed.

A heating pad is great too. I'm glad you have a way of soothing those achy joints. Heat helps so much!
