I think I'm going to use that "good moanin'..." when my daughter wakes up on the wrong side of the bed - which she often does! Sadly, she takes after her mom and is not a morning person! Of course, it'll be 10 years before she "gets" it (she's only 5 1/2!)

Erin, I think you hit the nail on the head - it does seem like a rough week for all. Reading the posts over the last few days, everyone is in so much pain! I feel for you all, but everyone's lightheartedness and humor about everything has been so helpful and I want to say how much I wish for all of you to have relief! Thank you so much for being so open, honest and FUNNY about everything. (My daughter asked what I was laughing about when reading the "...my right nostril...." comment and I tried to explain it to her and you should have seen the look on her face wondering what was so funny!)

You guys are AWESOME and DESERVE to feel that way too! May your slumber tonight be restful, replenishing, and refreshing!

Oh Erin, I am so sorry that you have to go through all of this. I have had the endoscopy and the colonoscopy. I think I was able to just take a cab home from the endoscopy, but because of the "versaid" they gave me for the colonoscopy I had to stay in recovery a long time, and then someone had to pick me up. As I have said b4 the worse part was the prep for the colonoscopy. When I got in to the OR, I told the doc, I could not drink all of the preparation drink because I was so sick, he informed me if I was not fully emptied I would have to redo the whole test. Later on he told me that on emergency basis, they will do the test without a complete void. Luckily, I was completly empty. My ride was late picking me up. Driving to downtown Toronto is always unpredictable. The hospital recovery room bed they had me in was in a room with another post op lady. Although the nurses insisted she was only allowed 2 visitors, and possibly 3 if they were quiet, I swear she had 12 people in there. I had such a migraine. The nurse, bless her soul brought me two tylenols. I asked her quietly to ask the other people to keep the noise down. She did, and they promised they would leave. However, they did not, so I did a no-no. I snuck out of the room, walked the halls for awhile, went to the nurse's station to see if my ride had called yet, assured them I could walk, and then went back to the room. Now it seemed like there were even more visitors. Popular lady!!!! Anyway, I signed myself out AMO and went downstairs to the gift shop, whereby I purchased the cutest beanie to thank my ride and a card. Fun shopping. Some of the hospital gift shops have the coolest gifts.
I also had the bone scan. The noises were a little strange, and everytime the machine seemed to stay somewhere longer, my imagination went wild. Other than that it was okay.

Take care and God Bless,
Judy

Ick...humidity, blocked up....Sorry to hear about all that at once! Bleh!

Yeah, the stuff my husband had to take to prep for his colonoscopy was nasty he said and what it did to his insides while trying to "clean" him was awful initself! But, you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess and if this can help the docs help you, it is worth it.

I'm sorry you had to miss class. Feel better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
