this is just my regular whinge - I think

I was going along sort of ok

then it seemed to go plop

my hip went so my knee went so now im limited again to how much I can walk

and those shakes I was getting have come back I tried to carry a cup of coffee

and by time I got to the table it was half full, keep getting Twitches in face

Doctor is sending me to the Neurologist he is suspecting a Demyelination

So that should be fun !

and I guess im just So Tired

I so understand your frustrations, and I hope the neurologist can help you. Keep us posted on that. Many Prayers. Everytime I drop something and tell my pain management doctor I get sent out to a neuro and it's annoying that they all say it's either the neck opening is too small or it's AutoImmune related...
Was it your RA doctor sending you out if not them maybe make an appointment with your RA doctor and talk about all this....Sjogren's can cause all sorts of nerve problems. Maybe try to do an online symptom checker...
Prayers and keep us posted okay.

Maybe, send a note into your RA Doctor and keep him/her posted. He/she might have an idea about whats going on. Do not go in for a spinal tap unless your off methotrexate for 6 months, that was my big mistake and I needed two blood patches only to still not get a definitive dx...Just a heads up for spinal tap should the neruo ask for one. In the end this neuro said it was sjogren's causing all my problems, which I'm not 100% on board with that dx...
Many prayers and well wishes...

Hang in there! We all know how you feel, I too have had to finally give in and start up on a couple weeks of prednizone again and I just got off of it. Its always something. I went to church today and my friend there with PA was using a cane to get around :( It's not fun to see your friends hurting but a hug can sure help them and me too. I hope you feel better! -Don

Hi Guys Thanks

and Thanks for the Spinal Tap Tip I had a feeling he will ask for one

I have looked up sjogren's and guess it could be something like that - my paranoia keeps going to MS

I have written to my Rheumy he was going to do a Skype appointment but im waiting for my Doctor to organise it

Sorry to hear your Back on the Prednisone Don I gave up trying to get off it years ago now I just try to keep dosage low im on 10mg daily and increase it when needed.

ive gotten a bit better over the weekend trying to keep busy

Mind you I will no doubt be a mess next weekend as I want to take my puppy to a dog show its a "bucket list" thing ive always wanted to do So we will see

I probably will either be ill or wont be able to walk that day or Something But im Gonna Give it a Darn Good Try

Well hopefully, you'll make it to the Dog Show, it's a neat experience going to these shows, I've done the same thing but gone to Cat shows, I hope someday maybe to get a pure breed cat to possibly show, Make sure to take plenty of hand wipes, ones for you and ones for those that wish to touch your dog.
You'll need to educate people that if they wish to touch your puppy that they must take precautions to not transmit illness...That's a huge thing at cat shows.
I hope to make it to my daughter's graduation(in December) without getting sick, So I'll send out prayers for you to be able to attend and stay well...Let's both stay well...Prayers for you on that...
* * Did you know that pure bred cats can show in a fixed (Spay/neutered) category, called premiere. But Dogs cannot. Dogs must remain un-fixed (Spay/neutered).

BadDay, I'm sorry you're having troubles. I'll keep you in my prayers and I hope you make it to the show. I know what it's like to have to skip things that you were really looking forward to.

Chartreux I Love Siamese Cats but I cant get another cat till my 10yr old boy goes to cat heaven I got him Literally at birth I opened the birth sack and resuscitated him & hand reared him (his mother was a rescue cat and retarded she had 3 kittens dropped them and ran we saved all 3 found homes for the other 2 kept him)

But I forgot that he'd Bond with me Wow did he ever "Yoshi" sleeps in the bed with us under my arm he Talks

is an amazing cat

he gets on with my 2 dogs but another cat cant even be outside he goes crazy he's a part Siamese all Black cat

when he was a baby I put him in the cat litter and moved his little hands to scratch but I think I did it too far as Now he actually Throws Litter Everywhere he has a Big Litter box (one of those plastic packing Crates) and it takes a Full Bag of litter at a go But he still Tosses Litter all over the floor. But its amazing how they are Family members,

Hope you get to Daughters Graduation sometimes I think the expectation of these events can trigger flares.

Thanks Carole hope your going ok

Maybe get one of those carpets that's goes under the litter pan, I use one and it helps from getting everywhere. I also have a kitty that just has to brush up that litter, but they are good boys. I sleep with two and hubby sleeps with two. I have 4 boy toys and one is a Chartreux. Very loving and loyal little kitties...
You stay well, too...
Many blessings...

Hey BadDay, I haven't been on here in a while. But by chance I came on today, and saw that you had posted. I am sorry you are having a rough go of it. You have always been there for me, and although a little late, I am here for you too.  I hope things get easier for you.

On another note I too have a kitty, that I rescued. Her name is Bandit. She seems to know when I am down,or hurting cause she climbs right up on my chest and snuggles.  Take care.

Thanks Tayisa animals are weird arnt they  Yoshi often comes up to me when im down one time I was feeling Cruddy and he kept head butting me every time id curl up in a ball he'd head but me and lick my forehead he also licks sore joints amazing how they know.

Well your timing was Not slow it was actually spot on as I just decided I can't go to the dog show Hubby was getting annoyed at me wanting to go (he's worried if my hip or knee "goes" I'd be stuck in Hospital miles away from home-this has happed before)

and I know I wont be able to do it we'd have to leave home at 6am drive an hour that's even before I try to walk around a sport oval - Who am I trying to kid !

Maybe if I could do it in the wheel chair I might have a chance but even so the Early start is a killer

So Mark said if I don't go we can go out to lunch instead and to top it of that will be my birthday 54 on Sunday

 Man 54 ! I never thought get to 45 let alone 54

Hi Bad, sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it. Your cat sounds amazing. I had two half Burmese cats years ago and they would walk 1-2 kilometres with me no worries, fetch rolled paper back to me and talk to me too. When I was out I often found them curled up in my wardrobe amongst my clothes, somehow they would get it open and climb right inside. Such clever cats, was really sad when they both died, one from a road accident and the other just of old age.

My current cat looks beautiful but is a toal grouch- Oscar! Shame but thats life sometimes. He'll tolerate me to stroke him occassionally.

You're the same age as me, I'll be 54 next birthday.

Feel like I'm struggling on at the moment too.

So thoughts go out to you, at least animals keep us sane.

best wishes, golitho

Bad & Go no wonder we connect. I am 53 and also have a love of cats. I have 3 sibling outside "working cats" outside. They came last October a day before Hurricane Sandy. A feral stray cat found shelter in our garage in my husband's lay out blind. Not long after she had a road accident and her 3 feral kittens were finally won over with 3 daily meals provided on the back porch. 1 is an orange male tuxedo cat, a female tortise and a female calico. The mother looked like a Siamese mix.

Inside we have a gray Tabby (16 weighs 4 lbs.) and a red & white tuxedo female (7) must weigh 20 lbs.

Sorry you are both still not feeling well :(

Aspartame can cause those symptoms. So can a shortage of magnesium, and the B vitamins.

Belated happy birthday Bad.
I'm 54 too and a cat lover. Our beloved 16 year old grey tabby, Tibby, passed away last Christmas Eve. Tibby was a great sympathetic head butter too. We are hoping to find a new furry friend soon. I hope the appointment with your RA doc finds some answers for you.
I'm very sorry you didn't get to go to the dog show. It's so disappointing when our bad health stops us living or lives. I know it's not quite the same thing but deciding whether to commit to things is a big issue for me too. You never know how you will be on the day. I used to worry about it a lot but have recently decided just to make plans or accept invitations and assume I will be ok. It has worked well enough so far. I have had to cancel a few times but I don't worry about it so much anymore. A friend with PA told me when she is invited anywhere she says she will drop in for an hour and then if she leaves after the hour it's no biggie. If she feels good and stays longer it's a bonus.
Hang in there. Neenaa.

Hi Neenaa

Thanks wow it's weird how many of us are in same age bracket when I was first diagnosed I was the youngy at 24 but now I seem to be in same age as others (if that makes scene)

I guess missing the dog show just effected me more as I was in a downer I think I've realized I can't show my dogs cos I can't get around the ring or sit in sun for day "sun really effects me"

But im sort of ok with that now confused

Yes I can't wait to get to the Rheumy its the end of January  and the Neurologist is mid January

I've started keeping a journal cos of these new issues

we often say how weird it will be when Yoshi (our cat ) goes to cat afterworld even tonight he did one of his amazing things, he was biting his front foot I went to look at it he pulled away and moved to end of bed, I said to him "come here let me see your foot" and no kidding he walked over and held his foot out to me ! I then used nail clippers and clipped the offending nail.

Lol sounds like he knows "the tone" and just how much he can get away with. :) I love my pets as well, they sure seem to know when I am in pain and give me so much comfort.

I hope you are feeling better BadDay. I had a really rough night last night and had to stay home today. I am doing much better after getting a few hours of sleep this morning though. -Don
