Hi how many people get headaches , I seem to be getting a lot of headaches and they can last for days at a time so I was wondering if it is an RA thing or just me.

I've had dull headaches for last w weeks and the odd day the escalate to almost migraine status. My family Dr just recently suggested that I may have arthritis in my spine and neck.... I am a colitis sufferer as well. Is this spine and next arthritis common? And figures that may be the source of my headaches. If it doesn't clear up soon I'm going to get a referral to a specialist. :/

Hi thanks I do have arthritis in my neck - cervical spondylitis ( I think that's how its spelt)
my Dr actually gave me an odd look and said he was not happy to give me any more pain killers , as im on a lot of medications now, I agreed but I felt for the first time that maybe he thought I was after pills. I Was Not.

he did suggest I get B3 and wrote me a prescription for a high dose of it , but when I went to the Chemist they said it was not a prescription item and they didn't have it, so I guess I try herbal or health food stores ?

But an odd thing I did check my oxygen machine and found it was turned up higher than normal (I think I did it by accident when I dusted it) so I turned it back down and I did not wake up with the head ach yesterday I still got a smaller one today But it would be odd if that was a contributing factor.

If my cpap machine malfunction during the night I get splitting headaches the next day, so that could of been your problem, badday.

I have headaches, almost every day. I went to a neurologist, who prescribed Magnesium. It helped for a long time...I had only an occasional headache. Now, I'm back to almost daily headaches. That and the constant fatigue and body aches I'm having are nearly more than I can stand.

I'm thinking of going back to the neurologist. I do get terribly tired of seeing doctors.

I have RA! My blood pressure spiked for being stressed out all the time. My GP put me on low dose blood pressure meds Lisinopril. Well I read no this medication and not only does it lower my blood pressure but it helps also with head aches and migraines. It is also prescribed for diabetic patients to help their kidneys in someway!
I never had any headaches while taking Lisinopril 5mg a day! Also it helps my kidneys!
